These are the books that I’ve most recently enjoyed. I don’t enjoy heavy romance, but I do enjoy mystery, quick reads, a touch of whimsy and magic, and light romance (that is more of a side story if I’m being honest). I also love biographies.
I love everything by this author. They are light beach reads - not too heavy on the romance, with magic and mystery sprinkled in!
Sprinkles and Sea Serpents: Sugar Shack Witch 1
This is a book I wish I could read again. Some of it you can anticipate, but it will still grab you.
The Sirens
I’m low key obsessed with retellings of traditional fairy tales. This one exceeded expectations.
Lady Tremaine: Reese’s Book Club Pick (A Novel)
Take note that this is book 8 in the series. I found this one to be an important read for the series, but it does stray away.
Candy Apples & Clairvoyants: Sugar Shack Witch #8
This book broke me - but sometimes you want that. Excellent read, and can’t wait to pick it up again.
Tilt: A Novel
This book followed me until I picked it up. It will make you think and feel so many different things… but it left me a little angry.
My Husband's Wife: A Novel
This book was an intriguing look at life on the other side. It seemed so unreal.
Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing Memoir
Fascinating! Loved getting to hear it from the author himself.
Spare
This book changed me, in a good way!
The Book Club for Troublesome Women: A Novel
Just started this, but it’s so good!
The Empire: Wonderful - A Theatre Love Letter
The perfect vacation read! I couldn’t put it down!
A Daughter of Fair Verona (Daughter of Montague)
Because you will want book two as soon as you finish book one!
Thus with a Kiss I Die (Daughter of Montague)
This tells the story from the other girls perspective. One to read again!
The Other March Sisters
It’s been a year since I read this and I still think about it constantly.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue
This woman is an icon, and I had no idea. Definitely read!
The Third Gilmore Girl: A Memoir
I use some of her advice every day after reading this book!
If You Ask Me: (And of Course You Won't)
Not an easy read, but made me question all I know about Hollywood and young stardom.
I'm Glad My Mom Died
A quick read, but so fun!
My Evil Mother: A Short Story
An underrated book!
The House by the Lake: WWII Fiction (Secrets of Paris)
This story captivated me, and I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next.
