🍚Ingredients

The simplest of all staple ingredients to start your homemade bread experience.

6 Cups of Bread Flour. King Arthur is just my preferred brand now and has done me well!
Bread Flour

1 ½ Tablespoons of Active Dry Yeast.
Fleischmann's Active Dry Yeast, 4 oz

** ⅔ Cup of Sugar **Using sugar instead of honey or other sweeteners really is the baker's choice or preference especially if looking for healthier options. Raw honey as seen below here is a great alternative!
Domino® Premium Pure Cane Granulated Sugar, 4 lb

If you're using honey as an alternative to granulated sugar, I usually use about ** ¼ Cup of Honey **
Wellsley Farms Organic Raw Honey, 2 pk./24 oz.

I use unsalted butter for lightly “browning” the tops of the loaves of bread near the end. Unsalted since we already have salt in the recipe and it helps minimize using too much.

About 110 Degrees Temp for activating your yeast. Getting those bubbles nice and foamy!

** ¼ Cup of Vegetable Oil **I only use this oil as it's a basic start and have experimented with healthier options also. There's plenty out there! Just be mindful of taste changes that come with oil changes in your bread recipes!

** 1 ½ Teaspoons Salt ** I will never return to other salts again lol. The quality of this one I believe has spoiled me in general. It's pretty fantastic.

🥣Tools

Nothing extravagant high tech nor fancy here. We're keeping it quite simple between basic tools, a little arm work, and a good hot oven. (Of course you can bust out the Kitchen Aid with dough hooks and all if it's easier for you!)

I prefer glass bowls for yeast activation and a well oiled glass bowl for a better sight on dough rises.

Reusable linen cloths are fantastic for your rises. Just wet, cover, wash and reuse as needed. Be mindful of what you wash them with of course as they are touching food products.

These guys were my VERY first loaves of bread with zero experience in bread making. using this recipe. Pre-butter and pre-slice in the photo. I couldn't believe how fluffy and tasty they were! This made me say goodbye to store bread forever.

My very first “Free Form” loaf on a baking sheet. I dressed it up with Everything Bagel Seasoning and a little bit of olive oil. It was incredibly moist and hands down the most delicious pull apart bread I've ever had. Dipped in cream cheese? Yum!
