Yes, Rattlesnake Ledge HAS to be on the list. It’s cliché & horribly packed in the summer, but it’s popular for a reason. Try to do it on a weekday. Also, enjoy these pics of my friend group circa 2012 😂

Fremont Lookout is a MUST anytime, but especially for sunrise or sunset. *Plan ahead: Mount Rainier NP now implements a reservation system during peak season to get into the Sunrise area.

Talapus & Ollalie Lakes (both along the same trail) is an approachable hike as far as alpine lakes in this region go and one of our favorite to bring guests on. Be sure to bring bug spray!

Gateway to the region’s famed “Enchantments” zone. The hike itself is a butt kicker, but the reward at the end is well worth the effort. Be prepared for huge crowds in the summer.

Another of the region’s beautiful alpine lakes. As one of the most visited lakes in WA, you can expect to see lots of fellow hikers on the trail pretty much any time of the year where the trail isn’t covered in snow.
