I am a former first grade teacher and it is my mission to curate our seasonal book basket for every season/holiday. These are my picks for Autumn, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. We love classics, great stories, illustrations, and whimsy.

This is quickly becoming one of our favorite series!
Millie Fleur's Pumpkin Problem - by Christy Mandin (Hardcover)
Absolutely adorable story explaining that leafs fall from the trees in autumn.
The Leaf Thief - (A Squirrel & Bird Book) by Alice Hemming (Hardcover)
How gorg are these illustrations?!
Oak: The Littlest Leaf Girl: (A Heartwarming Autumn Picture Book About Handling Change and New Beginnings - For Toddlers, Preschoolers, and Kids Ages 3-7)
For the little farm lovers!
Barn in Fall: Festival Fun on the Farm
Another super sweet story about leaves falling.
Fletcher and the Falling Leaves: A Fall Book for Kids
A classic for a reason!
We're Going on a Leaf Hunt
A goal of mine is to own all of the books in this series!
I have such fond memories reading this to my first graders before our field trip to the pumpkin patch. So of course it makes our fall book basket every year!
