Get a beach bag WITH THE HOLES IN IT!!! A fabric bag will hold all of the sand and stay soaked from anything that was in the water. A bag with holes allows the sand to filter itself out and drain the water from any soaking clothing or items.

Bringing a smaller enclosed bag allows you to keep your small items with you without worrying about them falling through the bigger bag. Also keep valuables in here like keys, cash/cards etc..
