This is a really great little kit to purchase if you're just starting out. The alluminum turntable makes icing the cake with the included icing smoothers a cinch and the cake leveler helps to ensure the layers of your cake are perfectly symmetrical.
I have this storage kit and absolutely love it. It holds all of my tips and other cake supplies perfectly.
These tools allow you to create designs on your cake to look like an oil painting. So beautiful!
The designs you can make with cake stensils are so beautiful and so impressive. It takes some getting used to, but there are tons of YouTube videos to help you through learning.
Cake dowels are an absolute must if you want to make tiered cakes.
If you're just learning to decorate cakes and don't want to waste real cake to practice on, these are perfect for learning. In fact, they make life so much easier starting out.
A gum paste and fondant forming set is quite handy if you'd like to make your own edible flowers and/or other decor.
This is the most adorable cake decor for a baby cake ever!
Once you become a little more experienced, an airbrush tool is so much fun for cakes and cupcakes.
My Favourite Pans
You can use the pans that you prefer (light or dark), but I prefer the light alluminum cake pans as I find my cakes come out better using these.
These pans are perfect for square cakes or bars and dessert squares.
This pan is my fave for cheesecakes.
This pan is perfect for larger crowds.
This set will get you by when you're starting out. These are the most common cake sizes and the most used pans that I own.
Edible decorations
Edible luster dust is so pretty!
You can make and color your own fondant, but it's a lot of work and dark colors are difficult to get right. This is so much easier!
It's a lot of work to get your white fondant red… let Wilton do the work for you!
Decorating Books
This book has some absolutely gorgeous step-by-step cake ideas.
You can search ideas on Pinterest, but having a good old fashioned book is my favorite method every day!
