Places we visited in Curaçao and some tips about the island.
Cute, very Dutch beach club in Jan Thiel. Great snorkeling, even a sunken ship.
Zanzibar Beach & Restaurant
Probably the best beach we went to on the island, especially if you like to snorkel!
Grote Knip (2025) - All You Need to Know BEFORE You Go (with Reviews)
Best shopping blvd on the island in my opinion. Cute beach, poor snorkeling but great for families or kids. The water is protected by a break wall.
Mambo Beach BLVD
Biggest markets on the island, similar to the US Walmart.
Mangusa Hypermarket
Super cute farm to table restaurant, we went on a Sunday and it was a buffet night, and even that was pretty nice. Great place for photos and they even have live music and you can visit the animals.
La Hacienda Olivia
Great smaller market for essentials.
Van den Tweel Supermarket | Curacao
They have pigs here. That’s all that matters. They love their bellies scratched. Amazing.
Playa Porto Marie (2025) - All You Need to Know BEFORE You Go (with Reviews)
Super condensed beach with a sunken tugboat and great snorkeling out to it. It’s small but worth it.
Tugboat Beach | Home | Curaçao
Great little cart on the way to tugboat beach or if you’re staying in Jan Thiel
Coffee Bike Curaçao (@coffeebikecuracao)
Quick 45 minute tour of the caves. It’s close to the airport and the tours start every hour on the hour and last about an hour.
Hato Caves
Do yourself a favor and rent a car. They do drive drunk on sundays (completely legal) and there are little to no stops signs on most of the island. The general speed limit is 60 kph and get used to honking and being honked at. Both good and bad.
Huurauto Curacao
They use Caribbean Guilder in Curaçao, however almost everywhere accepts the USD. You should make sure to mention it before swiping your card though!
