Tourist Spots that are worth it
Go see at least one show! It’s an experience to remember and there’s at least one show for everyone out there!
Also: use this time to see Times Square. I promise it will be enough. Once you’ve seen it once, you’ve done it. Trust me.
All of Central Park is beautiful and it’s a must do. Some great spots to try are: The Mall, Bow Bridge, Bethesda Terrance and fountain, and Strawberry Fields.
There’s plenty more but these are a good place to start.
Central Park
Even though it’s very heavy, it is a truly great museum and beautiful area. Something I think people should do once if they can.
9/11 Memorial & Museum
This is always going to be crowded and can be overwhelming, but it’s fun and it’s pretty. It’s not the best skating rink ever, but I do think if you’re there in the winter it’s fun to do once.
Rockefeller Center
I LOVE this area. So pretty and tons to do. Walking the bridge is also great, but it is a long walk for some, so just be prepared for that.
Brooklyn Bridge Park
Another great walking spot and plenty to do and eat in the area. This + Chelsea Market is a great afternoon.
The High Line
This has so much food and shops! There’s even the Chelsea Flea on Saturday and Sundays!
Note: it’s expensive, but I did enjoy exploring.
Chelsea Market
This is another gorgeous area to check out, plus any shows they may have!
Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts
This is a great way to see the city for the first time! I would suggest this over doing Statue of Liberty tour or doing the Staten Island Ferry. Even though the ferry is free, it can be stressful to navigate if you’re new to the city. If you’ve gone ...
