The past winter we had a bout of snow storms come through Tennessee and if you know anything about snow storms in TN you know  our stores run out of milk and bread. Why? Who knows… I took it upon myself while being trapped in my house with my husabnd and 5 small children to learn how to make bread! Check out this reel that shows my process!

Honey Butter Bread 🍯 🍞 
Add 2 cups of warm water to a bowl 
Add 1 tbsp of dry yeast (2 packets) 
Let sit for 10 mins 
Add 1/4 c of honey 
2tbsp of butter (always salted 🤣) 
2 tsp of salt 
4 cups of all purpose flour 
Mix! 🥄 (I used a KitchenAid)
Cover & let sit for 1 hour 
Split half and add to 2 (buttered) loaf pans Cover pans & let rise for 1 more hour Cook in over at 350° for 30 mins Yum! #breadmaking #breadrecipe #recipe

Kitchen Tools

Most of these items you probably already have in your kithen. These are some of my favorite brands and what I use. I really do think you get a better mix when you use the dough hook/mixer versus mixing by hand!

Last but no least, you need a cooling rack for your bread when it comes out of the oven! Nother fancy needed, but keeping it raised helps it to cool quicker!

You can substitute the ¼ c. of honey for white granulated sugar. I have tried a few times but I prefer the taste of the honey. It's not overly sweet and adds the perfect moisture to the bread. The sugar also make the bread turn a bit browner on top.
