Best Beaches
Playgrounds
Super fun, pirate themed outdoor playground near St. Pete’s Pier! There’s so much to do at the Pier.
Glazer Family Playground
Our favorite outdoor and indoor playground in the Clearwater area! The outdoor space is beautiful. Inside is inexpensive and perfect for rainy days. The outdoor pool looks like a blast, but we’ve yet to go. 💦
Highland Recreation Center
Best Beaches
You have to take a ferry to get here from, but it’s such a wonderful beach! It’s more natural and less touristy. There is a restaurant on this beach, but we packed lunches. Excellent place for shell hunting.
Honeymoon Island State Park
You could spend more than a day here. There’s a shallow beach are perfect for kids with minimal waves and lots of little wildlife. There’s also an aquarium, playground, restaurants, sprayground, and more.
St. Pete Pier
This beach can be pretty touristy, but the water and sand are flawless!!! It’s a very walkable area, there’s a playground and plenty of gift shops. You’ll need to pay for parking.
Clearwater Beach
This is more of a locals beach. There aren’t great restroom options, and parking is very limited but free! We loved coming here in the evening and packing dinner to watch the sunset! Great place to find sharks teeth.
