I usually prefer to cook at home (in this economy!), but when I go out to eat, I make sure my money is well spent on flavors and quality.
Map
Comfort food, viet flavours. Reminds me of my trip to Saigon last year.
The Lunch Lady of Saigon
Oldie but a goodie, always consistent on brunch food. Blueberry pancakes here are to die for🫐🥞
Mildred's Temple Kitchen
Elevated Asian food in a sleek setting. Caviar is next level.
aKin Toronto
Flame grilled, juicy, fat drippingly good. Fresh patties and buns. Great as a late night eat.
The Burger Monk🔥🍔
Not exactly Italian pizza, but still amazing! Fresh ingredients, crispy crusts, and creative flavors! Chicken waffle pizza 🫶
Afro's Pizza
The sandwiches and pastries here are pretty good, but I only come out here for the donuts. So fluffy, yeasty, fresh and simple.
Sanremo Bakery
So this place isn't exactly in Toronto but in Mississauga, but their food is very reminiscent of home cooked Italian food I had in Italy a few years ago. Just simple and tasty. But the star of the show here is the Sfoglia cake. OMG, took me right back to Italy! The whipping cream was fresh and the Italian pastry cream had that very subtle hint of lemon that is missing in a lot Italian pastry creams here. This place is out of my way, so whenever I'm in the area, I'll order a large one (don't judge me), and cut it up and put it in the freezer so I'll have Sfoglia cake on demand (ok, fine, judge me).
La Felicita Catering | Traditional Homemade Italian Food Since 1971
Steaks are great here, but I'm just there for the duck fries. 🤤
Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse
I'd call this an upscale American BBQ resto. Tender briskets, flavourful sauces. And also this is the only bbq joint where the veggie side dishes are almost as good as the mains!
The Carbon Bar
Intimate and unassuming restaurant serving filipino food with a twist. Get the Chef's tasting menu so you can try a bit of almost everything and the Pandan Express cocktail.
