There's a reason that they are famous. It is a small hole in the wall. Their Mish Mash is a must. I love how they offer different types of bread too (I love the challah).
The Famous Cosmo's
It is a nice local breakfast place with huge portions and reasonable prices. They also have many items on their menu. So, there is something for everyone. I love that they serve orange pekoe with meals.
Orange Café
They have the fluffiest pancakes. If you love going out for breakfast, this is a must try.
Arthurs Nosh Bar
Asian
Everything is delicious and beautifully plated! One of my favourite restaurants. Worth the huge line and wait (unless you go early like I do). The staff are also super friendly.
Restaurant Kazu
Great restaurant to celebrate milestones. Their plating of dishes is stunning. The fish is always so fresh.
Tri Express
Best hand pulled noodles in the city. Their braised meat just melts in your mouth. Their portion sizes are big for the price. I usually go early to avoid the long lines.
Nouilles de Lan Zhou
Juiciest Korean fried chicken. It is a great place to share food with others.
DaWa Chicken Restaurant (NDG)
Everything on their menu is so affordable and delicious. I always order their fried sweet potato. Their Dwaenjang Jjigae is the perfect soup to have on a cold day.

Their chicken with house spicy sauce is so flavourful. I crave it all the time. It is definitely my favourite restaurant in Verdun.
Plats de Pâtes Hong Mère
Great cheap eat that is also filling and delicious. There is a reason that these shops are popping up all over Montreal.
Onigiri Shop
Their carbonara udon and Katsu dishes are my go to. Great fusion restaurant in the downtown area. The portions are big. But, it is always nice to have as leftovers too.
Katsuya Montréal
Hidden gem that is cash only. I always order a croquette with my meal. It always hits the spot. They have two locations now near McGill and Concordia University. Everything is so affordable and delicious too.
Japote
Try their tsukemen! Their kakigori dessert is so refreshing too.
Ramen Isshin
Best vegan sushi, especially as someone who is not a vegan or vegetarian.
Momo par Christian Ventura
This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in NDG! They aren't always open. But, when they are, I always try to go. The seafood pancake is to die for.

The cavatelli barese is divine. It is a dish that I can't make better at home.
Bistro Amerigo
They have the best Italian sandwiches. They are quite filling and big. So, I always share or save half for later.

Great restaurant to have sit down pizza. There are over 70 different pizza options on their menu. So, there is pizza for everyone. If you like wood fired pizza, this is a must try.
Pizza Il Focolaio
Their vodka pizza is heavenly. If you like thin crust pizza, this is a must try. I still need to go back to try their square pizzas.

Their paneed chicken is a must try. I absolutely love their jambalaya, gumbo, and bread pudding as well.

It is truly a hidden gem! I love their goulash (beef, veal, and lamb) and paprika chicken. If you have room, try their apple walnut strudel or get it to go!

The Earl grey donuts are to die for! It is my all time favourite donut in the entire world.

The 72% chocolate ice cream is to die for! It is my all time favourite chocolate ice cream. It is so rich and delicious. I love their salted butter flavour too.

Their churros are delicious and so fresh.

There is a reason why Blake Lively is obsessed with this place. Their cherry donut reminded me of the ones that they used to make at Tim Hortons.

Vegan friendly and unique flavours. I love how they come up with new flavours every week.
Ca Lem
I adore their cookies! If you love bread and especially sourdough, this is definitely a place that you have to try. Everything smells heavenly. There is always a line up in the morning. But, it is totally worth the wait.
Meunerie Urbaine
Fuwa Fuwa (translation: fluffy fluffy) are truly the most fluffy pancakes that I have ever had. Their drinks are delicious too. They serve their dishes using robots, which is a fun experience.

Their Persian fog is my all time favourite tea and their saffron cake is incredible. The vibes in there are immaculate too. It is a great place to go on a first date (or any date) as well as study there.

Their Hojicha tastes amazing. I'm obsessed. Their desserts are absolutely gorgeous and taste even better.
TSUJIRI Montreal
They make such delicious vegetable sandwiches, even as a non-vegan or vegetarian. The atmosphere is so nice too.
Café Santropol
Try their delicious bingsoo! So refreshing, especially during the summer. I love the little mochi pieces.

This is the only place that I like that makes non-classic poutine. Their sauce is so special.

I absolutely adore their French fries and poutine. The sweeter sauce goes so well with the salty fries.

It is worth the hype.
La Banquise
The poutine and Orange julep are a must try. It reminds me so much of my childhood.

It is an old-school diner that is always packed. My favourite item on the menu is their poutine. The fries are so delicious.
