Read the Book, Watch the Movie (US)

99.9% of the time the book is better than the movie. Before grabbing some popcorn and turning on the TV, turn some pages instead! Some solid shows to watch after reading as well.

I found this book far exceeded the movie. The dialog was top notch and not all of it made it to the big screen!

Grief, heartbreak, and hope. One of Colleen Hoover's best. IMO.

I can honestly say if I had not read this book first, the movie would have been somewhat confusing and a little too vague. However, don't get me wrong, I did enjoy watching it…just not as much as I enjoyed reading the book.

I own the box set. Are these “kid's books”? Yes. Is it worth reading as an adult? Also yes. Read them, watch the movie. All worth your time! :)

This book has romance, war, and a surprising plot twist. No spoilers here though. Ian McEwan wrote a gripping novel and the movie is worth the watch. James McAvoy puts off an excellent performance. I feel like I need to re-read and re-watch both.

The books are long and detailed. Tolkien creates a beautiful intricate world. The movies, also long and beautifully intricate.

What a read this one. A cautionary tale of where we could be headed, yet no one seems to heed. I read this long before the television show existed and definitley preferred the book far more! Read it, take notice.

This can be read alone or as the sequel to The Handmaid's tale. Either way, don't skip it. It is another cautionary tale in the dystopian world Margaret Atwood created but again one that is not to far from reality. I honestly haven't seen the show ye...

I guarentee if you watch this with someone who loved this book, they will pause it - repeatedly - throughout the movie to tell you what the movie left out or what they changed. Wild read about a dystopian existence.

A prequel to The Hunger Games. This gives the reader a glimpse into the past and see how Cornelius Snow ended up on the path he did. The movie was fairly solid as well. In my opinion anyways.
