We recently took the Brightline train for the first time from Orlando to Miami! It is about 3 and and a half hours, but the train is super cozy, clean, and equipped for the journey. Here's some of the recommendations i have for an 8 hour day in Miami...

if you're looking to cool off a little but still experience something fun, superblue is an immersive art exhibit where you can snap great pictures. it is on the price side, but a very unique experience
