Sleeping Turtles Preserve North
This is hands down the best beach I have ever been to. The sand is quartz, runoff from the Appalachian Mountains, and never gets hot. It is powdery. The waves are gentle, the water is clear, and the vibe is amazing.
Siesta Key
Such a huge park. It does cost to enter, but there is so much to do once you are inside. There is even a nature center with some “fake” animals, reptiles, etc. that you would encounter in the park. The drive is beautiful!
Myakka River State Park
This is a nice way to spend a Saturday morning. The produce is amazing, fresh, and local. Downtown Sarasota is so cute and artsy. Love it!

Such a vibe. This is very prohibition-era and the menus are even newsprint. Excellent food options and the ambience is incredible in St. Armands Circle!
Speaks Clam Bar
Some of the freshest seafood around! It is small and casual inside, but the daily food specials make it so unique. Excellent choice for a meal!
Lucky Pelican
I love this place. They have a fish spread that they serve with saltine crackers that is delightful! The seafood is so fresh, and the atmosphere is super casual!
Walt's Fish Market Restaurant
My husband and I went here for Valentine's Day, and it was the coolest experience. There are chefs that cook your meat for you at grills by the table. Everything was delicious!
