I’ve always loved reading and as an adult I’ve gone through reading “phases”. Sometimes I’ll read every free moment and sometimes I don’t pick up a book for months - that’s definitely the ADHD in me! I will also read just about anything!

My Live, Laugh, Loves

Books that I have live laugh loved throughout my reading journey. Some are more recent than others, but I think reading is sometimes about the place they hold in your life. There’s a little bit of everything in my favorites!

One of my all time favorite books. As an adult I’ve gone through phases where I read a lot and where I don’t read at all. This is a book that was kind of out of character for me, but really helped me into a “reading” phase.

This is one of the first books that really made me excited to read again. Fun fact: one of my first tattoos is a quote from this book.

Twilight came out when I was in late elementary school and holds such a nostalgic place in my heart. I’m pretty certain I’ll be a “Twi-hard” forever.

I read this book in the throes of a terrible break up while I worked in a downtown boutique. Everything about it felt poetic and meaningful.

The Lake House was my first Kate Morton book and it was incredible! Kate has a very particular way about writing and so her patterns through the books are very similar, but I’m still always surprised at the out come. I love a book that brings me in a...

I always always always recommend this book when people are in a reading rut, need a palate cleanser, or are just looking for a nice read. I love a novel that feels a little historic and is based on real events.

I did not expect to love this one as much as I did. It had a little bit of everything too, something to make my heart pound, a few tears, some laughs, and some puzzlers. I haven't watched the show yet, but I am thinking I will.

I've been a long time anti-romance book type of girly. I don't really know why to be honest, but this was a book that really swayed me. It's an easy fun read and I fell in love with the characters quickly. It also changed my mind on romance/fluffier ...

This was a good one. I felt such a range of emotions. For a really long time I stayed away from books that made me cry and I didn’t really anticipate that this book would, but oh man it did. Big fan. Ending is nice and neat, but realistic too.

I felt like I was on a roller coaster ride with this book. I really changed my stance and what I thought the ending would look like at least three times. I kind of fell in love by the end though.

Misery was one of my first Stephen King reads and probably my favorite still. I read it so quickly because it was well written and because it made my heart pound. I haven’t read it again since because it gives me the shivers!

I struggled reading this one, but I think back on it often! The struggle was not because of the writing or the story - honestly I wanted to know more. I have never read a book from the perspective of someone close to a serial killer, so this was a fi...

I thought this was a quick read - I am a reality TV addict at the end of the day. I watched the Duggar’s shows growing up and watched the crimes of their child play out in the media. I also saw the pretty public move away from such conservative value...
