Walnut Creek - Easy to get lost, but fun if you do!
Walnut Creek Trail System | Open Data | City of Austin Texas
Green trail is mostly flat and easy with places to practice turns and small berms. No more wooden structures, sadly, but there is a more advanced flow trail that you can walk around any drops and obstacles.
Milton Reimers Ranch Park
There are BEGINNER trails here, so don't be intimidated to go. There's a trailer that will pull you to the top and you can have your fun flow trail time!
Station Mountain Bike Park
Good trails to get used to riding over some loose rocks. It's easy to get lost so I highly recommend riding with a group. Check out AUSTIN RIDGE RIDERS on Meetup.com and Facebook groups for dates/times.
South Austin Trail Network (SATN) - MTBATX
A fun place to ride but easy to get lost so try to go with people who have gone before! Trails can update and there aren't many (if any) signs here.
Reveille Peak Ranch
Definitely some more advanced available here too, but if you're JUST getting started, you can stay on the flat hike & bike trail and slowly enter into the side trails for more adventure!
Brushy Creek Regional Park Mountain Biking Trails | Trailforks
I personally haven't been to this one but Austin Ridge Riders holds group rides here for ALL levels!
Georgetown Trail Midpark
The FRIENDLIST way to start riding and meet others in BEGINNER groups!
Austin Ridge Riders Mountain Bike Club | Meetup
Bentonville
Catapult - take it slower if you're a new rider but you'll experience some launching into the air here over tabletops if you want. Learn to keep your feet on the pedals. I skipped the entrance to Catapult and started at the bottom of the steep declin...
OZ Castle trails - Medieval and Catapult
Great way to get used to turning and being comfortable on berms and you don't go too fast. Easy for the whole family to ride and get comfortable on your bike.
Family Flow Mountain Biking Trail - Bentonville, Arkansas - Trailforks
So much fun to ride down next to your friend!!!
Thunderdome Trail @ Coler Mountain Bike Preserve
A quick 20 minute drive from Bentonville, this paved park will get you feeling confident on your bike the more you ride these trail lines on repeat. They have a novice and beginner trail so get to riding!
The Railyard Bike Park
It's a hike to get up to Fireline (blue) but it's SO WORTH IT! You walk past the Drop the Hammer which is a huge drop and fun to watch advanced people ride off it!
Fireline Mountain Bike Trail, Bentonville, Arkansas - MTB Project
OK, Not a trail, but You gotta stop here! Bike access only (no drive up) and super friendly hang out. Love the coffee, protein shakes, and treats!
Airship Coffee at Coler
Coler is full of trails and the main hike/bike path is fantastic if you're just getting used to riding your bike. There is a side trail that runs along side it for some fun small rollers that ANYONE can ride!
Coler Mountain Bike Preserve
These are great trails and you'll see some art everywhere you go. There's even an amazing BBQ restaurant at one of the trail heads! Highly recommend, and this is coming from a girl from Texas!!! It's good, y'all!
