This is a fun park to enjoy walking or taking the kids. They have a water mister the kids can play under along with all the other fun things to go.

Maiden Municipal Park

This is a great park that has excellent trails and a great dog park. It is well-maintained and nice to enjoy with the family.

George Poston Park

Great park with a beach area to go hang out in, swim in the lake. It has picnic areas, grilling places and cycling lanes. You can also camp here.

Lake Norman State Park

We love this place and going here in the summer months. We also take our Copper with us so he can enjoy swimming in the Catawba River. You can whitewater raft, rock climb, zipline or just hang out and enjoy the music they often have playing.

We enjoy coming here to enjoy steaks and burgers. They also have a to die for french dip sandwich that is delicious!

We haven't lived in this area long, but the Court Street Grille is one we have gone to since we got here. They have delicious pizza, calzones, salads and sandwiches.

This is a quaint little spot on main street. We visited here after church and my husband fell in love with their fried footlong corndog. They have sandwiches, burgers, whatever you like.

Vittles

Best homemade dressings we have ever had. They have wonderful pizza, salads, subs, and the list continues. If you go here, plan to wait for a minute!

House of Pizza Restaurant

We enjoyed spending our anniversary this year celebrating here. The food was delicious and had a nice variety to choose from. I had a delicious squash casserole that my mom used to make when I was little.

We enjoy the events going on in our area, mainly we have Alive After Five once a month and look for some more exciting events in the near future.

Who says small towns cannot enjoy things like the big city. On Thursday nights, we have Alive After 5. A fun time to meet new people and enjoy the neighborhood!

Farmer's Markets

Farmer's Markets are special to me. Not only for the fresh produce and homemade treats to handcrafted goods and seasonal finds. I spent lots of Friday and Saturday mornings going to the Farmer's Market with my daddy. This is a memory I will cherish forever and continue to do.

I have been going to this farmer's market since I was a little girl. It has a little bit of anything you might want. It is open all week during the summer and of course their hours change in the winter months.
