Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is a narrative-driven, choice-based game from DontNod (the creators of Life is Strange) about the friendship four teen girls find with one another in the summer of ‘95 and the unexplainable, mysterious events that connect them decades later.
Swann, Autumn, Nora, and Kat, our titular characters coming of age in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, are fully realized, relatable characters that quickly won the hearts of players—and cosplayers! Each girl has a sense of style reflecting their unique selves that begs for emulation. So to get in on the fun, I’ve made a cosplay kit for each character with clothes and accessories to achieve the look of each girl. Add in a dash of longing nostalgia for Midwest summers, and you’re all set!

🌿Swann🦋

Swann, the character you play as in Lost Records, is a movie nerd with a heart of gold. She loves nature and collecting what she finds in the forest—mushrooms, leaves, pinecones—and videotaping the world around her with a camcorder kept constantly on hand as a way to both document and interact with it. She’s a bit unsure of herself, yet steady in her kindness and convictions.
🎸Nora☀️

Nora is an endearing blend of contrasts. She’s impulsive and brashly funny, flirts like it’s breathing, and literally wants to be a rock star when she grows up. She also gets scared easily and is deeply sensitive, looking to the other girls in sticky situations like ports in a storm. Her charisma and magnetism are the outward expression of a someone with big dreams and a big heart.
🦄Autumn🌙

I love Autumn. She’s pragmatic and responsible, often serving as the voice of reason, yet also incredibly caring, thoughtful, and present. She plays bass alongside Nora on electric guitar (one example of how the two are cast as each others’ foils), skateboards, and plays video games, her style often reflecting the iridescent, fantasy-invoking purples and blues of the video game logo you see on her game cartridges and gaming magazines.
🔮Kat🪶

Kat is deeply principled and resents her Christian, homeschooling family and the environment of small town Michigan, with riot grrrl culture serving as her guiding star. Kat confronts bullies, writes poems like incantations, and seems to attract the attention of the town’s ravens. She’s often deadpan and sardonic, yet direct and calm when speaking from the heart.
