Classic Thrift
I so badly want to gatekeep, but I share with you my favorite thrift store ever. Clean, full of gems, and a friendly staff – say less! Locations in Brook Park and Fairview Park.
Common Threads | Fairview Park & Brook Park
I don't love supporting Goodwill, but this is one of the better locations, in my opinion. They have a good selection of artwork and dishware.
Goodwill | North Olmstead
I like Value World! I used to like them more, but ya get what ya get. I dislike that they don't have fitting rooms (N. Olmstead technically does but ehhhh), so come prepared to try things on over your clothing. There's lots to look through so give yo...
Value World Thrift | Lakewood & North Olmstead
How could I forget Avalon Exchange?! It's somewhere between vintage consignment and also a classic thrift, but also entierly it's own. More like an elevated Plato's Closet! I love Avalon – maybe this is my sign to stop in!
Avalon Exchange | Ohio City & Coventry
Seconds City is your home furnishings goldmine! They have so much vintage and secondhand furniture, artwork, and dishware – I highly recommend stopping in and taking a lap! I found an old banker's lamp there for $14 and it's now one of my most favori...
Seconds City | Parma Heights
This also falls somewhere between classic thrift store and consignment shop, but these are two really great little shops on the west side of Cleveland! I've found some great items here, and they always have a good variety of clothing and home goods.
Showcase Resale Shops | Lakewood & Fairview Park
Vintage Consignment
We stopped in today for the first time, and honestly what inspired this list! I didn't get anything (this time), but there were tons of treasures – from clothing to home accessories and furniture. This would be a great place to shop for the upcoming ...
Paradise Galleria | Ohio City
If you're looking for anything from any period over the last 70 years – go to Sweet Lorain! I go somewhat regularly, but I took my MIL while she was visiting and she had a blast! An amazing time capsule on Lorain!
Sweet Lorain | Ohio City
This is a great Lakewood walk-up shop! Hit up Buckeye Beer Engine for brunch or lunch, or Vital Pilates for a reformer class if you want to make an afternoon out of it. Bonus: Book Brother's bookstore is next door also!
Showcase Resale Shop | Lakewood
Such a cool consignment shop! It's tucked away on the outskirts on Tremont, but I highly recommend if you find yourself in the area. Lots of vendors & resellers – furniture, clothing, books, etc. They even have the old ‘Hot Dog’ sign – IYKYK.
All Things For You | Tremont
Really cool consignment shop on the West side! Tons of vendors and vintage resellers – clothing, books, trinkets, etc.
The Salvage Yard Resale Shoppe & Unique Boutiques | Fairview Park
One of my favorite shops in the area! I always find something special!
Eclectic Eccentric | Larchmere
This is a really cute shop in the heart of Lakewood! They do a lot of reclaimed furniture, however their shop also sells furniture paints, home decor, and gifts!
The Salvaged Boutique | Lakewood
This is an amazing shop for secondhand t-shirts and sports memorabilia! They always have some awesome band tees in the window, and no shortage of vintage Cleveland Indians, Cavaliers, and Browns merch!
Highland Throwbacks | Lakewood
While technically a consignment store, it has a lot of reasonably priced secondhand items! I really like shopping here when I need a wardrobe refresh for work, as the items are oftentimes nicer/newer than what I typically find at a thrift store.
River Trading Company | Rocky River
Uncover Vintage is another great local shop located in Lakewood. They always have a ton of vintage Cleveland Cavaliers, Indians, and Browns merch – so check them out if you're in the market! Otherwise, they always have a great selection of vintage t-...
Uncover Vintage | Lakewood
Honestly, I have yet to be here but this little consignment shop has been around forever so it's worth putting on the list! I need to stop in and check it out, as the reviews are awesome! Consignment shops are always the way to go if you're wanting t...
