some great art to be found, along with other beautiful gifts.
Outset Gallery
this place has loads of really nice clothes with a sustainable focus, and some really fun whimsical designs. the staff are super friendly too :)
Aplomb
you could spend hours here. bonus points for their selection of irish-language books!
Charlie Byrne's Bookshop
Loads of fun vintage clothes and accessories in this shop!
Public Romance Vintage
i found red dungarees in here after spending 3 years searching, enough said.
Planet Retro Vintage
this place has LOADS of second-hand books, CDs and vinyl. highly-recommend spending half an hour doing a proper dig to find a gem
Bell Book And Candle
just go and see this place for yourself
The Sheep
Pubs
galway is famous for its pubs, so here are plenty good ones!
this is a local favourite, super cosy. but good luck getting a seat!
Tigh Neachtain
one of my favourite places to find some lesser-known drinks, and cosy up for a chat
Bierhaus
another local favourite, always plenty going on
The Blue Note
one of my favourites. lots of space and often a DJ playing at the weekend!
Massimo Bar Galway
a very nuanced spot, this cosy pub at the front hides a huge outdoor area out the back, with food, another bar and trailers to sit in. one of the coolest pubs i've visited
Carroll's Bar
right on the main street, a lovely pub for a match, or one of their famous irish coffees
Garavan's Bar
this is a bit more upscale place, for those who like a slightly quieter space, and an impressive selection of wines to drink.
The Universal Bar
a multi-purpose venue, with gigs, DJs, discos hosted every night of the week. give the website a look in advance to find out what's on.
Róisín Dubh
as featured in ed sheeran's music video for 'galway girl', this central pub is lovely indoors and outside.
