Grub stops
These are my favorite, go-to, casual grub spots that encompass the true gritty attitude of Seattle!
One of Seattle’s last holdouts, Bongos stays true to its no frills, high quality Caribbean food at a humble price. Every time I have guests coming in from out of town, this is the first place I take them!
Bongos
This is the classic Seattle burger joint that never lets me down. The bacon cheeseburger is the move, and the onion rings are on a whole different level. Perfect for when you want something greasy, satisfying, and fast but still local.
Red Mill Burgers
Hidden gem Salvadoran food that feels like a warm hug. The pupusas are the star of the show, especially with the curtido and house salsa. It is cozy, welcoming, and one of the most comforting meals you can get in the area.
La Cabaña Seattle
The ultimate teriyaki joint. Big portions, crispy edges on the chicken, and a perfectly sticky bed of rice underneath. The sushi rolls are solid too, especially if you want something quick and fresh on the side. Simple, fast, and hits every time.
Ichi Roll Wok & Teriyaki
This place punches way above its drive-thru vibe. Tacos are tight, tortas are huge, and the breakfast burritos are basically their own food group. Great for a quick grab-and-go meal that still tastes homemade.
TNT Taqueria
A greasy spoon icon and the spiritual home of the 12-egg omelet. It is not fancy, and that’s the point. Perfect after a night out or when you want to embrace your inner diner goblin. Bonus: bottomless hashbrowns.
Beth's Cafe
Biscuits. That’s the pitch. Flaky, buttery, ridiculously good biscuits stacked with eggs, bacon, gravy, or jam depending on your mood. A weekend brunch favorite worth waking up for.
Morsel
Elevated burgers without the attitude. The menu has creative combos, but even the classic cheeseburger is dialed in. Sit on the patio when the sun’s out and you’ll understand the hype.
Uneeda Burger
Rich, savory ramen with perfectly chewy noodles and all the toppings you want. The garlic tonkotsu is the go-to for a reason. Cozy enough for a solo slurp session or a casual night out.
Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya
Spicy, crispy, and fried to perfection. Ezell’s is legendary for a reason. The rolls are weirdly addictive too. It’s fast food, but elevated by pure soul and a whole lot of flavor.
Ezell's Famous Chicken
One of the oldest Japanese restaurants in Seattle, and it still slaps. Sushi, noodles, and bento sets that feel like home cooking. Hard to get a table, but worth the effort if you want a classic.
Maneki Restaurant
Southern comfort food with major personality. The fried chicken is crispy and juicy, the waffles are pillowy, and the vibe is always on point. Go for brunch and stay for the hot sauce.
Fat's Chicken and Waffles
Wood-fired pizza with crispy crusts and thoughtful toppings. It feels fancy but not fussy. Great for a chill date night or when you’re craving pizza that actually makes you feel like an adult.
Delancey
One of the best taco spots in town, hands down. The adobada tacos with grilled pineapple are my usual, but honestly, you can’t go wrong. Cheap, fast, and consistently excellent.
Tacos Chukis
Laid-back pizza spot with a backyard feel. Wood-fired pies, local ingredients, and chickens casually roaming the outdoor patio. It’s weird, it’s charming, and the pizza is legit.
