The 19 video games my husband loves most, plus the Horizon trilogy I am obsessed with. From massive RPGs to shooters, these are the games we actually play. Every pick below is one we'd buy again in a heartbeat.

Shooters & Action
My husband has been hooked on Battlefield 6 since day one. Massive battles, buildings crumbling around you, and those moments you end up talking about for a week. If he loves big multiplayer chaos, this is the one.
Battlefield 6
The tactical shooter my husband keeps going back to. Every round is a new puzzle of drones, breaches, and bad decisions. Somehow never gets old.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege
Epic RPGs
My husband lost entire weekends to Baldur's Gate 3 and has zero regrets. Your choices actually matter here, and no two playthroughs are the same. A must for anyone who loves a deep story.
Baldur's Gate 3
The prettiest game on this list, honestly. Clair Obscur mixes turn based combat with real time dodging, and the story hit my husband right in the feels. Game of the year contender for a reason.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 PS5
My husband calls this the best game ever made and I am not going to argue. Geralt's story, the monsters, choices that actually haunt you. Get the Complete Edition so both expansions are included.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete
My husband was skeptical after the rough launch, but the updates turned Cyberpunk 2077 into one of his favorites. Night City is unreal, and the Phantom Liberty story genuinely got to him.
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition
My husband died a hundred times and loved every second. Elden Ring is the hardest game on this list and somehow the most rewarding. He still brags about beating Malenia.
Elden Ring
Timeless Classics
My husband still talks about Arthur Morgan like he's a real person. Red Dead 2 is slow in the best way, a whole world to get lost in. If he hasn't played it yet, fix that.
Red Dead Redemption 2
An old soul on this list. Shadow of the Colossus is just you, a horse, and sixteen giants, and it's still breathtaking. My husband replays it every couple of years and it never gets old.
Shadow of the Colossus
Don't let the pixels fool you. Terraria swallowed my husband whole for months. Dig, build, fight bosses, repeat. One of the best value games ever made.
Terraria
Aloy's Adventures
This one is mine. I am obsessed with Horizon Zero Dawn. Aloy is the best protagonist, the robot dinosaurs are unreal, and the story twist genuinely shocked me. I have played it more times than I can count.
Horizon: Zero Dawn Remastered
The sequel is bigger and even prettier. Forbidden West took everything I loved about Zero Dawn and turned it up. If she loves Aloy too, this is a must.
Horizon Forbidden West
Aloy's story but make it LEGO. This one is pure fun, perfect for a cozy co-op night. Lighter than the main games but full of charm.
Horizon Adventures
Action & Adventure
My husband says throwing the Leviathan Axe never gets old, and he's right. God of War turned Kratos into a dad and somehow made him even cooler. The single shot camera trick still blows his mind.
God of War Hits
Bigger, louder, more emotional. Ragnarok had my husband yelling at the TV in the best way. If he loved the first one, this is mandatory.
God of War: Ragnarok
The one Nintendo game on this list, and it earned its spot. Breath of the Wild made my husband disappear for weeks on his Switch 2. He still talks about the first time he walked out of that cave.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
My husband played this with the lights off and regretted nothing. The Last of Us Part I is brutal and beautiful, and the remake looks insane on PS5.
The Last of Us Part I
The most divisive game here, and my husband will defend it forever. Part II is heavy, gorgeous, and impossible to put down once it grabs you.
