items I want to get more creative and spend less time on electronics this year. Here is a list of some hobbies I’m going to try out!
I have started to do this in December, and I love it so far! It’s fun just letting myself zone out and place my junk around the journal until I make art, and it feels better not to throw the stuff away or it can be reused.
Junk Journaling
I have always loved writing, and even went to a performing arts highschool for it. I want to get back into carrying a notebook around with me to write little blurbs or short stories whenever they come to mind, like I did in highschool.
Writing
Another thing that I used to do ALL THE TIME and stopped mid-2025. I miss it so much. I had found so much heat in thrift stores, I need to bring it back. Not Good Will though. Why are we charging $30 for something you got for free?
Thrifting
I used to sew Barbie clothes when I was a kid, and even sold some (for a quarter) to my classmates. I haven’t done it in over ten years, but I think it’s time for me to try again. I want to be able to fix or add to my clothes.
Sewing
I love baking in general but I’ve never tried baking my own bread. I don’t like sourdough and that’s the most known version to make, so I’ve never tried it. I’m searching for a recipe that doesn’t make sourdough if anyone has any suggestions 👀

I admit to wanting to feel like a medieval lady getting embroidery lessons in order to make a token for my beloved to carry in a tourney, but still, embroidery seems like a fun (and useful!) skill to have, and I want to learn how to.
