Reading is one of the best things to ever happen to me. I've always loved books but when I was in school, I didn't want to read anything than the books I was required to read for class. After graduating, I picked up a book for fun for the first time in years and haven't gone back. I read all types of genres — romance, rom com, mystery, thriller, fantasy, even science fiction! Reading just sucks you in, in a way that nothing else can. It's like nothing else matters around you and you're living the life of the characters. So many people talk about fantasy books bringing you into a whole new world, but to me, all books do that. If you need a book recommendation, I'm happy to be your girl!
My Goodreads Review from when I read this: I loved Millie and Hollis' storyline and thought both characters were so likable in their own ways. Sarah Adler did such a great job of creating two characters with such distinct personalities. I wish Rose a...
Mrs. Nash's Ashes by Sarah Adler
My Goodreads Review from when I read this: When I read the back and saw it was about a thermodynamics professor, I knew I would like it haha. Thermodynamics was my favorite class in college. Yes, I was an engineering major. Really great romance book and sort of a different take on fake dating, which I liked since I don't typically like fake dating stories. Loved the author's writing style; somehow informal with the use of big words at the same time? Such a fun book and truly fits the definition of a romcom — romantic and funny!
Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood
My Goodreads Review from when I read this: Really good book, I would definitely recommend! I loved the letter writing and how we learned so much about Iris and Roman through their letters; definitely the best part of the book. I also really liked the... Very little fantasy, more of a war story, which I didn't mind, just something to keep in mind. Very good for someone just easing into fantasy reading!
Divine Rivals (Letters of Enchantment #1)
My Goodreads Review from when I read this: Flawless, seriously. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but this was better than Divine Rivals to me. I could not put this book down. The beautiful romance story kept me coming back, but also the action, which was ...
Ruthless Vows (Letters of Enchantment #2)
Goodreads Review from when I read this: I personally loved this book and don't understand the mixed reviews. I am somewhat new to the thriller genre and therefore didn't have it figured out early on like others claimed they did (I had a feeling that ... 2026 Lexi here now: this is still in my top 2 thrillers ever!
A Flicker in the Dark by Stacy Willingham
Goodreads Review from when I read this: I was pleasantly surprised by this book. From what I knew going in, I was afraid it was going to be painful/stressful to read as I would never want to be in the situation Emma was in. But Taylor Jenkins Reid di...
One True Loves: A Novel: Reid, Taylor Jenkins
I can't recommend a series more than I recommend this one. Books 2 and 3 are my favorites, but every book is 5 stars! I bought the entire series after taking the first book out of the library and it was one of the best purchases ever! If you haven't read the whole series, you NEED to! Here is my Goodreads review from my favorite in the series, book 2: I cannot give this book one criticism. AMAZING, from start to finish. I don't think I've ever been rooting for two people as much as I am Feyra and Rhysand, especially with the book ...
A Court of Thorns and Roses
My Goodreads Review from when I read this: Omg, my heart! So often a romance is too focused on the spice, the cheesy banter, the really long build up and will they/won't they stuff, but this book was just the purest, sweetest romance I think I have e...
Mine Would Be You by K. Jamila
This is my favorite book of all time. I've already read it twice and was recently gifted a special edition of it (since everyone knows it's my favorite book), so another reread is in my future. I don't want to spoil anything — just please read it haha
The Nightingale: A Novel - Hannah, Kristin: Books
My Goodreads Review from when I read this: Three Emily Henry books down and I'm not stopping; I just love her writing! I will say, this book wasn't my favorite in the beginning, and it took a while to get better, but once it got better, it got BETTER...
Happy Place by Emily Henry
I recommend the whole series but Fourth Wing (the first book) is easily the best. Here's my Goodreads Review from when I read it: I loved this book so dang much! I wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about it because I didn't think I'd like dragons and at first, I had trouble understanding the fantasy world, but once I got into it, I...
Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
My Goodreads Review from when I read this: Such an unexpected 5 star read, but wow, I adored this book! I didn't think I'd like a YA romance, mostly because I thought I wouldn't be able to relate to a high school romance story, but omg, that didn't m...
Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter
I am obsessed with this trilogy! And it's the perfect length — not too long, not too short! Here's my Goodreads Review from the first book, although I seriously recommend all of the books equally: Ahh, I loved this book so gosh darn much, I'm so happy I decided to start the trilogy! I love freaking loved Kai as the MMC! Also, so many times ...
The Powerless Trilogy by Lauren Roberts
My Goodreads Review from when I read this: Night and day from the other Elin Hilderbrand book I read (which was “The Five Star Weekend”). I loved how the book didn't just go to summer to summer but covered the events in between each summer and gave t... I'll add that I recommended this to my mom and she loved it as much as I did! The ending is very sad, which my mom seemed to have a harder time with me than me, so just be aware of that, but don't let that deter you. So good!
28 Summers: Hilderbrand, Elin
My Goodreads Review from when I read this: Easy 5 stars, giving my previous fav thriller (A Flicker in the Dark) a run for its money. I couldn't put this book down - so many twists/turns, so many possible ways it could have ended up going with an eve...
A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson
My Goodreads Review from when I read this (and this was my most recent read; I recommended it to my mom and she's currently reading it and loving it): Just what I needed after a month's long reading slump; I 1000% get the hype, best Abby Jimenez book...
Books - Just for the Summer: Jimenez, Abby
My Goodreads Review from when I read this: My first Emily Henry book and definitely my first of many (I have read many other books by her since and this is still a favorite). From page one, I knew I liked her writing: so funny/witty yet emotional at ...
Beach Read by Emily Henry
Yes, I'm a kindle girl, and yes, it's so worth it! Sometimes I like reading a physical book, I do have many of them, but I love my kindle because it's so light and easy to take with me anywhere; I can bring multiple books with me on a trip but just bringing my kindle which is lighter than any singula... It's so convenient and for me, really doesn't take away from the reading experience at all. Highly recommend!
