When I was in my twenties I lived in downtown Philly. These were my favorite spots for dates with my husband! When we go back and visit we still go to some of these.

Asian Cuisine
I love these, they were the main ones I went to when I lived in Philly.
The dan dan noodles are my favorite. My husband loves all their dry woks especially the spicy ones.
DanDan | Sichuan & Taiwanese Cuisine in Philadelphia & Wayne
Hands down the best hotpot spot in Seattle! Great prices, all you can eat, and the veggie bar is delicious.
Kungfu Hotpot
It's so romantic. This is my favorite for anniversaries or other big dates.
Double Knot
The philly cheesestack bao is my favorite. You don't think that combo would work but it's actually incredible.
Sampan
Italian/American
These were great for nights out with friends as well as dates.
It's medium fancy in the best way. Order two pastas and share them!
Via Locusta
The vibes are everything! When if you can sneak away from work early, their happy hour is great. I used to go a lot when I was younger.
Giuseppe & Sons
There are two across the street from each other so don't get confused. I think their more causal option (and it's not that casual) is better. They have some great specials during restaurant week!
La Viola Bistro
One of my favorites! Their pasta tastes so fresh.
Giorgio On Pine
Brunch
These were my favorite brunch spots. I've even taken the kids when we've gone back to visit.
They are great for dinner too but I really love their brunch menu. Especially in the summer when you can sit on their roof top!
The Continental Mid-town
No way to make a reservation which is a bit annoying. But their sweet breakfast treats are incredible! My kids and I will share 1 birthday cake french toast between all of us, it's that sweet!
Green Eggs Cafe
A more casual option but the line is often out the door! Better on weekdays if you can swing it. Great bagels.
K'Far Cafe Philadelphia
The vibes for brunch are great! Lots of tasty options and a big bar for a boozy brunch.
