Verity by Colleen Hoover is wild. It’s creepy, intense, and full of twists that completely mess with your head. I couldn’t put it down, and the ending left was astonishing. Short read, chapters are short so it really helped with my adhd lol.
Verity
Not outright horror, but the psychological tension is wild. A woman murders her husband and then refuses to speak. A therapist becomes obsessed with figuring out why, and the ending… yeah, I didn’t see that coming at all.
The Silent Patient
A gothic-style mystery about a woman accused of killing her whole family. The setting is a crumbling mansion on a cliff, and the tension never lets up. By the end, I was shocked at how wrong my guesses were.
The Only One Left
It’s set in this creepy, luxurious New York apartment building where weird things keep happening. I devoured it in a day because I had to know what was going on. Definitely one for fans of suspense that builds fast.
Lock Every Door
Romance
This story warmed my heart. It’s both tender and steamy, and I loved how it showed love as acceptance — being truly seen by someone.
The Kiss Quotient a book by Helen Hoang
I had the biggest smile reading this. The slow burn tension was so satisfying, and it reminded me why enemies-to-lovers will always be my favorite trope.
