I was born and raised in Wisconsin, then moved to Minnesota about 5 years ago. If you know anything about those states you know it’s COLD. These are some of my favorite items for keeping warm, without sacrificing style.

No one does warm clothes like the Icelanders. Authentic Icelandic wool is a bit pricey, but worth it if you can splurge. They can be a bit itchy, so I recommend wearing a turtleneck/ undershirt too!
You can’t go wrong with a Patagonia winter jacket. They keep me warm even when I’m not dressed for the weather underneath. Plus they’re a company that I feel really good supporting!
Jackets: Winter, Fall, & Spring by Patagonia
These are THE coziest sweaters. They aren’t itchy and so they can be worn alone or with an undershirt. I love these for cold in office days.
Mongolian Cashmere Crewneck Sweater
For longer periods outside a heated vest under my jacket is a lifesaver. These can also be nice for a little extra warmth in the fall.

Inner Layers
These are some of my favorite turtlenecks for layering or on their own. In the winter these are great under sweaters and cardigans, but are very versatile to be worn year round.
SoSoft Lite Rib Turtleneck Sweater - Old Navy
Good thermal/ fleece base layers are a must if you’re spending any extended time out in the cold. I especially love my ones from Columbia.
Womens's Baselayer
Just because it’s cold doesn’t mean I don’t want to wear a skirt once in a while. These allow me to do that without freezing my butt off. I also love to wear these under my pants for some extra warmth.

Foot Wear
Blundstones hold up through just about anything. Their thermal and waterproof boots are especially great for the winter and look cute and professional, so they won’t ruin your outfit like big clunky winter boots tend to do.
Sorel is my go to for heavy duty winter boots. I use these for shoveling, treks through the snow or activities like sledding!
Women's Snow & Winter Boots
Heated socks are absolutely everything in the winter. You can wear whatever cute boots you want (winter worthy or not) and still stay warm. I love these because they can be controlled through your phone, so no trying to dig under your pants and shoes...

Accessories
These are the softest scarfs I have ever found. I am particular about my scarves because certain materials on my face can feel overstimulating and uncomfortable and these have given me no trouble.

I LOVE my balaclava. You lose most of your warmth out of your head, so balaclavas are ideal for keeping the warmth in. I love that they keep your neck warm as well as your ears. You can even get ones that cover your mouth for extra warmth.

Because I’m addicted to my phone, convertible mittens are my favorite. They allow you to use your touch screen without taking your mittens all the way off.
