Balboa Park
Love Coronado Island, the beach is beautiful. Recommend spending time near the Hotel Del Coronado which is historic in itself. The interior of the hotel is also a must see! Lots of nice little boutiques and restaurant on the Main Street.
Coronado Beach
If you love hiking then Torrey Pines might be the place for you with a lot of coastal hiking trails and stunning views perfect when the sun sets. There are a lot of easy and moderate trails to choose from.

Mabel's Gone Fishing
This is a hotel that has several restaurants and cocktail bars inside. The cocktail drinks here are really good. Gets super busy on weekends. There is also an indoor bowling alley.
Lafayette Hotel
My favorite place for sushi in San Diego and located in the La Mesa neighborhood. Their speciality rolls are delicious and beautifully places on each plate.
Banbu Sushi Bar & Grill
Love the aesthetic of this place. It’s a New Zealand cuisine restaurant that serves good steaks and pub style food. It’s walking distance from La Jolla Cove.

If you want authentic Tijuana style tacos then head over to Tacos El Gordo in Chula Vista. Recommend going to this location over the downtown location. My favorite dish are the Carne Asada Tacos but they have plenty of options including loaded fries.

Don’t be fooled by the name! It’s San Diego’s best ice cream shop in town and they serve interesting specialty flavors you won’t see elsewhere!
An's Dry Cleaning
Don’t want to gatekeep this one, but this deli shop serves the best sandwiches in San Diego. The deli is inside a grocery store and I would definitely recommend any of the pastrami sandwiches!
Olive Tree Marketplace - San Diego
My favorite gelato shop chain that was popularized in Europe. This is the first location in San Diego. They also sell assortments of Italian chocolates.

If you love middle eastern desserts like baklava and other sweets then you will love this place that has an assortment of different types of baklava and other pastries. They also make delicious birthday cakes.

The top shopping mall in the region and has every store you can think of. There is also a variety of restaurants and cafes around. Has a lot of high end as well as standard clothing stores.
Fashion Valley
This mall has it all and has every store you can think of. It also has a lot of the better restaurants than other shopping centers like Lucrezia and Javier’s. Has a lot of outdoor seating space. Free parking is only for the first two hours.
Westfield UTC
Outlet mall just right on the US-Mexico border. Has a variety of outlet shops if you’re looking for a good discount.
