These are some of Lincoln’s favorite things! From Disney Cars and monster trucks to travel activities, school supplies, and sensory-friendly finds, these are products that have been loved, used, and approved by my amazing autistic son.
When it comes to Lincoln’s food and drinks, he’s extremely picky. The only water that Lincoln will drink is the tropical mango flavor from the Kirkland vitamin water. This is part of my weekly Costco run.
Lincoln’s been playing baseball since he was four. And this has been a great help with teaching him how to catch the ball. We still play with these inside the house for fun.
Toss and Catch Ball Game Set with Glove
Two things that Lincoln enjoys our wheels and lights. He loves to watch the cars takeoff and spin around the track as well as the lights that light up.
Mattel Disney Pixar Cars Light-Up Lightning McQueen Track Set
Another one of Lincoln’s obsessions is firetrucks and ambulances. I’ve actually bought two of this exact fire truck. They are a tad bit expensive, but the quality really holds up against daily wear and tear.
HESS 2000 FIRETRUCK
Another truck on the more expensive side, but again the quality has definitely held up over a couple years of very rough play. He will line all his trucks up and have all the lights going at the same time. The best thing about the Hess trucks are tha...
Hess 2005 Emergency Truck & Rescue Vehicle
Adding more to Lincoln’s go to are these emergency response vehicles that both light up and have sirens. He will line these up and lay his head on the floor next to them and just watch the tires and the lights go off.
JOYIN 4-Pack Friction Vehicles w/ Light & Sound
This one is fun because the lid comes off and he was able to actually play with the little people without getting frustrated
Doloowee Ambulance Toy Truck w/ Lights & Sounds
Lincoln got this as a Christmas gift from his aunt and this resulted in many many hours and many configurations of tracks and laughs. He would think it’s hilarious when truck would crash but still keep going.
Dinosaur Jurassic Race Track Glow in Dark Toy
These planes are amazing to play with. The entire family gets out and throws them around. Also a great way to burn his energy because he’s got to chase them down.
2 Pack LED Light 17.5" Throwing Glider Plane
After taking Lincoln to see monster jam, he got this truck as a gift and it was the first remote control truck he could use. He loves it and it’s great for his hand eye coordination.
Monster Jam Grave Digger RC Truck 1:24
These have been a great addition for pretend play. Lincoln learns more about how to communicate in social situations and he has fun doing it.
Tiny Expressions Pretend Play Notepads 6-Pack
These ones didn’t come in the bundle so we bought them separately, but these are probably the most used. With his obsession with lights and sirens he also likes to give out tickets.
Tiny Expressions Pretend Play Notepads 2-Pack
This one is also in the Mom approved list because it’s a great tool for regulation burning energy while having to be inside
Hopper Ball 22 Inch Inflatable Bouncy Toy
So one of Lincoln‘s obsessions is lanyard. He makes everybody one and wants them all to wear it and they all have to have a whistle and either some form of badge or keys on them. The lanyards can be a bit heavy and uncomfortable. I found these to be ...
100 Pack Black Lanyards with Metal J-Hook
These are not really Mom approved, but Lincoln doesn’t love this whistle. He loves pretending he is the yard duty people from his school.
