Fantasy
Loved this one. Dark, fun, and empowering. A great fantasy if you like morally gray characters and strong female leads.
The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller
Good, but not as strong as the first book in my opinion. Still worth reading if you enjoyed The Shadows Between Us.
The Darkness Within Us by Tricia Levenseller
Loved this entire series. Every book. If you like slow burn tension, high stakes, and fantasy romance, this is a must read.
The Powerless Trilogy #1 - Lauren Roberts
Top fantasy read of the year for me. This book fully got me out of my reading slump after finishing the Throne of Glass series. Could not put it down.
Heartless Hunter (The Crimson Moth #1)
Couldn’t put this one down either. So good and such a strong follow-up. Currently impatiently waiting for the next book.
Rebel Witch (The Crimson Moth #2) by Ciccarelli
Psychological Thrillers
Absolutely loved this series. Fast, twisty, and addictive. One of those reads where you keep saying “just one more chapter.”
Must read before seeing the movie that’s out now.
The Housemaid Series by Freida McFadden
My favorite thriller of the year. I genuinely did not see the ending coming, which is rare for me. Had me questioning everything until the last pages.
The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose
Wasn’t totally sure about this one at first, but I ended up really liking it. The story slowly hooks you and the payoff is worth it.
Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak
No deep thoughts here, I just enjoyed it. Easy to get through and keeps you curious the whole way.
The Silent Patient - Michaelides, Alex: Books
Pretty good and twisty. Not my top favorite, but still a solid thriller if you like unreliable narrators.
Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney
A bit predictable at times, but overall a good read. Still kept me engaged and turning pages.
The Inmate: Gripping Psychological Thriller
Gripping from the very first chapter. High stress, fast paced, and intense.
Disclaimer: do not read this on a flight.
Falling: A Novel - Newman, T. J.: Books
