The islands are a fun way to fill your afternoon, with boat rides to and from the city, historic landmarks, a beautiful view of the city and fair grounds this is a relaxing spot.

I highly recommend booking a tour, they pick you up and drive you around, you get to go on the boats, maple syrup tastings, ice wine tastings and sight seeing around Niagara and Niagara on the lake.
