I genuinely cannot recommend Ostello Bello Firenze enough - I've stayed in this exact hostel two times on two separate occasions... there's always activities going ahead and it's great for meeting people, there's also free food in the kitchen!

I highly recommend a timed ticket to the Uffizi Gallery - it's beautiful and well worth seeing (though it's huge, schedule 2-3 hours of a day to see it all!) It can get busy during tourist seasons so having a timed ticket is a huge advantage
