Our go-to. Greenhouse, playgrounds, and the Halloween Spook fest every fall — there's always something on.
Gage Park
Hendrie Park is gorgeous year-round, and they host the free Telling Tales kids' festival. Worth the drive every time.
Royal Botanical Gardens - Arboretum
Sweet little neighbourhood park off Mountain Ave by Hillcrest. Easy for little legs and never overwhelming.
Highland Gardens Park
Trails and nature walks the kids actually enjoy, plus family open-house days. Cheap entry per vehicle.
Dundas Valley Conservation Area
The classic fall outing in Dundas. $17+HST per person — worth it for the wagon rides and the sensory play area.
Dyment's Pumpkin Patch
Midway rides, farm animals, fair food. We went this year and the kids are still talking about it!
Ancaster Fairgrounds
Another great one: demolition derby, midway, live music. Around $15–$20 and a full day out.
Caledonia Fairgrounds
Free fall fun at the Farmers' Market downtown, runs into October. Easy win.
Harvest Festival at Hamilton Farmers' Market
They get real family shows like Raffi. Always check what's on for kid-friendly acts.
FirstOntario Concert Hall
King St closes to cars for a day of free activities. Keep an eye out for the next one — it's a blast.
