As a dance teacher myself and a comp mom of 13 plus years (and still currently!), these are my must have items for a sucessful dance competition weekend.
Once your dancer has more than a few costumes, a bag like this is a necessity! Not only does the bag store costumes, but then it turns into a clothng rack with a privacy curtain.

I love that my girls use a caboodle like I did! For us, the caboodle is perfect since it has 2 levels of storage and a built in mirror.

I don't think we can get through a competition without needing a band aid or some sort of medi wipe. This one comes stocked with everything you need.
First Aid Kit
In true dance mom style, our children usually get all of the fun stuff. This bag is perfect to store some of your essentials and have something cute too! This also makes a great gift for dance mom besties!

I don't know what it is, but at every competition the dancers loved to be wrapped up in a blanket (sometimes the venues are freezing!) This cozy blanket can be personalized for your favorite dancer and also makes a great gift.

I can't tell you how many times I have used a nail kit at competition. The small scissors come in handy for strings and same with a nail file or nail clippers.

At our studio, our dancers cannot have polish on their nails or toes. So often, the dancers forget. These polish remover wipes are perfect to get polish off quickly without making a mess.

Hook this on the side of your costume bag and your dancer can do a mirror check before taking the stage. When the day is over, the mirror folds in half to fit in your bag.

This pop up tent is very handy. Sometimes the dressing rooms are so crowded that there is no space to have a private place to change. This will keep your dancer safe while changing.

Any dance mom knows that most dance costumes do not provide good coverage. These nipple covers will prevent any issues without showing bra lines.
While our studio does not require our dancers to spray or self tan, my teenage daughter is very pale. She tried this self tan mousse and LOVED it. It is clear so it doesn't transfer onto clothing. It took her some time to learn how to blend well all over, but a brush and tanning mit helps with that.
Medium Express Self Tan Mousse - Tanologist - Ulta Beauty
This blending brush works so well with the tanning mouse my daughter uses. Use this brush by the hands, ankles, and feet, and the self tan looks so much more natural. This brush was a game changer.
Body Blending Product Application Brush - Tanologist
As soon as a comp day is over, the first thing my girls want to do is remove their makeup, especially the red lipstick. Makeup wipes in the dance bag are a necessity!

At first, I really did see the hype over these bags. I figured it was just a trend train that everyone was hopping on. Then, I borrowed one and was hooked. This bag is sturdy, easy to roll, and can hold any props, food, water bottles, etc.
HULKEN products at Target
This is a must have! My mom got me one for Christmas and we used it at the first competition and every one thereafter. I had moms and dancers running to me to use this thing. If a strap breaks or something is lose - no problem. Just use this. Must faster than a sewing kit.
