Love this course. It is on the main road leading into Minocqua and is very easy to get to. Challenging but fun to play.
Timber Ridge Golf Club
This course is challenging as it is cut out of the woods. But it is beautiful and would highly recommend.
St Germain Golf Club
Not far from St. Germain, this is also a beautiful course to check out.
Eagle River Golf Course
For the kids
This place has it all. Love the mini golf course and the go cart racing. Kids and adults will have a blast here. Located right on the way into town, it is easy to get to.
Settler's Mill: Adventure Golf & Frozen Custard in Minocqua, WI
This is the resort that I stayed on for almost 10 years with my family. Great spot, really enjoy the location on the lake. If there are multiple families, there are roughly 10 cabins/places for families to stay.
Minocqua Shores Cabin #2 - Oneida County - Vrbo
This is the resort that my family and I currently go to every summer. It is a very family friendly resort, there is good fishing, and you can take your boat or drive to a couple of cool places on the lake!

This place will take you back in time. A classic ice cream and candy shop situated right on the lake. You can drive or take your boat and dock it, then walk up.

This place is such a good time. I took my 6 & 4 year old on the go karts and they had such a blast. We also played some arcade games, let the kids run around the fun park (they had little electric jeeps and a bounce house as well as a playground set with swings). We are definitely throwing this place in the rotation when we go up north again. Staff was very friendly and everything was reasonably priced.
Elmers Fun Park
My wife and I took the kids here to each pick out a toy and they had so many good age appropriate toys for them. The store is wide open enough for kids to explore and find a toy they enjoy.

Here's a list of fishing spots and stores in the area that I know and have had a good experience.
This Lake is a lot of fun to fish and do water sports. There are plenty of places on the lake to do both. Most of the people are very respectful. The town of Minocqua is right on the lake, so its got that allure as well.

I am not a great fisherman, but I have always had success fishing for just about everything in the lake. Lots of different spots to hit.

This is the shop we usually get our fishing license from. Everyone in the shop is really friendly and they have everything you need to get out on the water.

Travel back in time with this amazing fudge shop where you can watch it be prepared right in front of you! The treats are top notch and they have a nice sitting area as well. Located right in the middle of downtown Minocqua, it is a must visit, especially if you have a sweet tooth.
Dan's Minocqua Fudge
This is a fun shop to stock up on the classic meat and cheese that you think of when you visit up north Wisconsin. It is easy to get to, lots of parking, and fun to walk around.

I like this place for kids clothing. They have all the classic up north t-shirts that they love. They also have a few other fun items available.

I like to walk around this place because there is so much to see. They have all sorts of fun items available for purchase from sports memorabilia to Delft artwork. Be careful if you bring kids because there's some breakable stuff in here.

I like visiting here quite a bit because it is located right on the lake. The set up is really nice and they have a good menu for drinks as well as good food choices.
Thirsty Whale
Fantastic beer and a great location right on the lake. When I am on vacation, eating and drinking outdoors on or near a body of water is a must. This place is a good hangout place right near the public beach.
Minocqua Brewing Company
This place will take you back in time. Such good food and a great drink menu. I had such a fun time here. While it is a bit of a drive from Minocqua or St. Germain, you're on vacation right? It's ok to travel to cool places like this.
