For when you need a bite on the run but want something unique!
A true Raleigh classic! They have a limited menu but the burgers are incredible. I highly recommend getting a chocolate shake with a brownie in it!
Char Grill
This one can be found throughout the south, it’s a regional favorite! I always order a tray (where else can I get a corn dog as a side dish?) and a milkshake.

Not in the mood for a burger? Bojangles has the best chicken hands down. It’s another regional favorite and they serve their full menu all day!

Get the day started with a hearty southern breakfast!
This is the best spot for a breakfast/brunch with the girlies. Their grits bowls are to die for. Just make sure to come early, they get quite a wait some days, especially on the weekend.
The Flying Biscuit Cafe
Located at the state farmer’s market, this one is great for a classic southern breakfast. It’s always fresh and a unique experience!

I love getting a fried green tomato biscuit from Rise after a night out. They have such unique takes on southern breakfast dishes!
My favorite lunch spot! This food court has tons of options- I really like Buena Papa!
Morgan Street Food Hall
This one is unassuming from the outside, but they have phenomenal food (hello mac&cheese skillets!), a charming gift shop, and phenomenal drinks!
Relish
This place is so unique! Their hot dogs are delicious and the vibes are unmatched!
The Roast Grill Hot Weiners - Raleigh

Or “supper” as us southerners like to call it!
Don’t let the appearance fool you: this place is my go-to for a celebratory fancy dinner. They are expensive, but the steaks are truly the best I’ve ever had.

A unique combination of sushi and burgers! The bento box will be your best value with a variety of food.

Another upscale steak option! They also have a great wine selection.

My favorite stop for a cold treat on a hot day. Their custard is unbelievable!
Goodberry's Frozen Custard
Okay, this one isn’t Raleigh specific, but it’s still worth a stop. Their over the top milkshakes look cool and taste even better!
The Yard Milkshake Bar - Downtown Raleigh
This spot has a variety of sweet treats to satisfy all tastes. The cupcakes are always delicious!
