My trip to Krakow, Poland had long been on my bucket list. I always wanted to visit the “old country” of my ancestors. We spent a week there and was immersed in history, culture, unforgettable food and experiences. The fun part of visiting Poland from the United States is that it is a comparatively inexpensive trip. Here are some of the things we did while we visited.

I recently took my first cruise and it was to Alaska. Here is a list to breakdown all of the things we did including the cruise ship, hotel, restaurants and excursions. Alaska is so big and full of beautiful nature it was breathtaking! A big question when planning a cruise or trip to Alaska is “What do I wear?” In the summer months it can be very rainy and the weather very changeable. It's not typically super hot, but the temperatures and climate can fluctuate a lot. Sunny one minute and raining the next. I found that layers worked best for me. I based all my outfits off of the zip up Old Navy jackets and joggers below. From there I would layer as needed for warm and dryness. I used my raincoat everyday!

Having curly or wavy hair can be fun but it comes with a learning curve. Over the years I have tried several products looking for the best thing for my hair. For reference, my hair is technically considered wavy - probably a 2A-2C. It is coarse, thick and has quite a bit of gray. The curls / waves change and get tighter or looser based on the weather and humidity. I have tried the “curly girl method” but realized that I needed to break some of the rules for best results.

I love to go on our pontoon boat in the summer. Either out for a ride or floating on a raft on the lake. These are some of my summer boat essentials.
