The whole reason I started this list. My old umbrella flew into someone's cooler and I almost died of embarrassment. These anchors screw into the sand and grip like they mean it.

An anchor only does half the work. I learned the hard way that a cheap umbrella with a weak frame will still flip inside out no matter what you stake it with.

After my canopy tent went airborne at a Fourth of July cookout, I started staking down everything. These work for umbrellas, tents, and shelters on sand.

Sometimes an umbrella isn't enough shade for the whole crew. I tested shelters that could handle wind without turning into expensive tumbleweeds.

Sometimes you just need extra weight to keep things grounded. I started carrying these after a rogue gust sent my cooler lid flying into the ocean.

It's not just umbrellas. Towels, hats, bags, all of it catches wind. I got tired of chasing stuff across the sand so I locked everything down.

These are the random additions that completed my windproof beach setup. None of them are glamorous but every single one solved a specific annoying problem.
