Here are my 1 year olds favorite books. These are the books that he brings to me repeatedly throughout the week or the books I grab knowing he’ll be invested and sit down to listen. Maybe your kids will love them as much as mine let me know!
My one year old brings this board book to me almost every day to read or rather sing. The art work is beautiful; I enjoy looking at the pictures even after the 100th time.
Baby Beluga by Raffi, Ashley Wolff, Board Book
This one I have memorized! Cute and silly little animals characters. My one year loves books with animals sounds but this one is one of his favorite. I love it too because it’s not just sounds the word flow almost like a poem.

Very very simple board book but my son loves it. For some reason he likes to pretend to eat the shiny yellow button but he’s always bringing me this book so he’ll definitely now his colors and shapes soon.
Baby Touch and Feel: Colors and Shapes by DK, Board Book
This is a beautiful, quality book. It’s one of the few that seems to be bite proof. I love to tickle his fingers and toes each time the phrase repeats. The repetition of the phrase makes the book almost song like.

Baby bugs was his first favorite book. This was one of my books as a kid so it very loved. The costumes that these babies are in are so adorable. I love having this book on his book shelf.

My First Big Book of Words - Lap Size Board
Another one of his favorite! I love to read this one with a lot of expression. Reading sad with, “sad and a chicken” and sounding confused with, “completely confused” and so on. This one is definitely on the rotation of books he brings to me as soon ...
Happy Hippo, Angry Duck: A Book of Moods
I had this same book as a kid and my kids loved it as much as I did. My one year old hasn’t settled on a favorite yet but my oldest loved the story of Samson. The stories are very short and sweet perfect for the toddler age.

This is such a cute little book. When my son noticed that there were trucks on the letter T page he was so excited.
