After catching a concert at the bandshell, walk down the street and get the *best* toffee at Knoke’s. If candy isn’t your thing, they also offer ice cream 🍦

Might sound weird to recommend a store, but our family loves Scheels! Cheap Ferris wheel rides, a candy shop, live fish, a toy shooting range, and taxidermy are just a few of the fun finds there.

One of our absolute faves- we love how hands on and educational this museum is! Can get busy during school field trips, but still so worth it. Make sure to check out the tornado simulator 🌪️

This is such a fun theater for kids- they have lots of cool photo ops in different rooms with colorful windows, it’s easy to access from the parking garage, and the seating is comfy!
Guthrie Theater
This place is definitely geared towards younger kiddos but the glow in the dark mini golf is fun even for adults! Can get pretty busy on weekends! ⛳️

Crowd can be kind of weird, so go on an off-time for less people. Fun little walk, and the falls are pretty!

We love this playground! Bonus points that it’s accessible and has restrooms.
Lions Volunteer Park - Destination Park Playground
Requires a parking permit (cheap) but has beautiful trails, a playground, and an indoor area with games and snowshoe rentals
Cottage Grove Ravine Regional Park
Not as bougie as Alamo, but the best theater around IMO.
Free arcade games in the lobby, best deal on snacks (their popcorn is amazing) and the owner is a great guy. Tickets are a fraction of the price of Alamo.
