Best Spots + Activities
All my favorite Oahu spots in one place: top hikes, snorkel gems, and local adventures you shouldn't skip.
The water is breathtaking, the sand is soft, and it is a must visit on Oahu! Plan to spend the day there & grab a bite Buzz's Steakhouse or Kalapawai Cafe + Deli.
Kailua Beach Park
90-minute sunset sail that includes unlimited complimentary drinks- beer and mai tais included. We had the absolute best time!!! Highly recommend the sunset cruise. If you book on a Friday, you'll also get to see the weekly fireworks from the water.
Na Hoku 2 Catamaran
You have to check this place out! They have so many different activities you can do. Highly recommend the ATV ride - you get to tour the 4,000 acre property that has been used for many iconic movies. Cool experience with breathtaking views.
Kualoa Ranch
Entrance into the park is free! Over 400 acres of tropical plants and a man-made lak with fish. It has hiking trails & is also a great place to take family/ milestone pictures. Has parking and bathrooms.
Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden
A cool jungle trek that leads to a freshwater swimming spot.
Maunawili Falls Trail
A pretty easy hike that overlooks Kailua and Lanikai. Parking can be a little tough. I suggest going for a sunrise hike!
Lanikai Pillbox Trailhead
Every Saturday from 8am-12pm. Some really great local food finds!!
Kaka'ako Farmers Market
Ziplining with an ocean view! It was so much fun and included a little ropes course section. I highly recommend grabbing a beer at Kahuku Beer Garden after!
CLIMB Works Keana Farms Zipline Tour
Where To Eat on Oahu
Affordable plate lunches, hidden gems, and must-try treats across the island.
The BEST fire-roasted huli huli chicken. Locally owned! The same sweet older guy does the chicken fresh outside everyday. Their souvenir shop also has a ton of cool items (great for Christmas gifts!)
Yummy Huli Huli Chicken
All of their food is soooo good!!! If you're 21+, you MUST try their Mai Tai. They top it with a signature honey-lilikoi foam- the best Mai Tai I've ever had. Great happy hour, live music daily, and ocean views.
Monkeypod Kitchen
Kiawe wood-fire sourdough pizza with creative topping combinations. Friendly service and locally owned.
Jax Pizza
It lived up to the hype!!! The ice is so soft and it was truly the best shaved ice I've ever had. They had a POG flavor when I went- I highly suggest that topped with condensed milk. 12/10! I'm drooling just typing this, it's that good!
Matsumoto Shave Ice-Hawaii's Best Shave Ice-Oahu
Farm-to-table style food. Fresh fish from a local fish market behind the restaurant. Fresh bread sourced from the bakery next door. I highly recommend the chicken long rice croquettes.
Mud Hen Water
My favorite local brewery! Great food and beers.
Hana Koa Brewing
A great stop after the beach! You have to try their angry ahi dip with fresh wonton chips and their tempura fish bites with kimchee aioli. Fish is auction-fresh!
Nico's Kailua
Best of the best! Local Hawaiian seafood and poke. It was also featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri.
