Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center
This is a family friendly hike but don't underestimate the heat if you go in the summer! It's especially hot on this giant rock!
Enchanted Rock State Natural Area
Beauty in the midst of hustle and bustle of the city!
San Antonio Botanical Garden
A smaller family friendly beach!
Rockport Beach
Head to the bottom of big Tex for this one. There's so much to do here!
South Padre Island
This is a fav for all ages! There's other activities on site too!
Natural Bridge Caverns
Camping, swimming, tubing, hiking, dancing, shopping, the list goes on! This is a family fave for vacations or day trips if you're nearby.
Garner State Park
This is a Texas staple! You'll find plenty of food and shopping options here while enjoying the scenery. Be sure take a ride on the river boat where the tour guide will give an entertaining history lesson!
San Antonio River Walk

Some of the best bbq in Texas! Their BBQ sauce is to die for!

Ok so it's not an actual bus, but the waffle creations are worth a stop!

Space Center Houston
Houston has a fantastic zoo! If you're visiting around the holidays, they have a Christmas light display too. Just make sure to secure tickets ahead of time for the holidays!
Houston Zoo
This is a great, smaller museum remembering the shuttle Columbia and its crew. A little off the beaten path, but worth a visit!
Patricia Huffman Smith NASA Museum
This museum is seriously amazing. There's so many exhibits and they often have fantastic limited-time exhibits, so get on their email list or follow their socials!!
