All the best spots for munchies that I found in the black hills
We went here while we were traveling in in Hill City and oh my gosh, they have something for everyone. Not only was the bartender AMAZING, but they had a blackberry wine cooler drink that truly tasted like summer. Highly recommend.
Naughti Wines
Just the most adorable little coffee place with a super sweet owner. Highly recommend stopping in for an iced latte.
Perky Pine Café
Such a great family owned little coffee shop. You’re right next to the Smokey the Bear wood carving, so you can take a little walk over to get pictures with your coffee :)
Caboose Coffee Company
Amazing truffles. Just so good. You have to go get one.
Chubby Chipmunk Hand-Dipped Chocolates
Great wine and reasonable prices. We stopped by here for a drink before dinner.
Wine Cellar Restaurant
This was not as budget friendly, but we were celebrating my birthday if you’re going to pay for a nice meal, it better be here. Get the indecision menu, trust me.
Tally's Silver Spoon
This place is so cute and SO good. Get the breakfast bowl and the hikers cold brew.
Harriet & Oak
This place had so much to offer for breakfasts. So yummy.
Miner's Cup
We ate alllllllll the sandwiches on this trip to save money.
What's your tastiest cold-cut sandwich "recipe?" : r/Cooking

All the stuff to do on a dime during your visit
If you’re in the area you simply must go see what this park has to offer. You can spend days here on a tight budget.
Badlands National Park
We had the best time on these tours. I recommend the Natural Entrance and Fairgrounds Tours
Wind Cave National Park
Close to Wind Cave but worth the trip to go see. It’s incredible how unique they are being so close together.
Jewel Cave National Monument
Lots of recreational activities available. Paddle boarding, hiking, canoeing. Great place to bring the kids.
Custer State Park
Really crazy place and probably very fun for kids. Super kitschy, felt like a Wild West Disney world. Not a place I want to spend an extended period of time at but definitely something crazy in the area.
Wall Drug Store
So much to explore and do. We loved our time here and the needles drive. Do be aware that is $25 entrance.
