Whether it’s taking care of myself or my kids, here are some things that truly make my life easier, or better, as a full time mom of two.

This is a list of everything my daughter got for her 4th birthday, or had on her wishlist. My daughter loves a little bit of everything, but this year for her birthday her main interests included unicorns, cats, super kitties, dragons, and ponies.

As a SAHM I am making food for my family all day long. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. I want things that are non toxic, easy to clean, and dishwasher safe.

I read the tags so you don’t have to! But it doesn’t hurt to double check. Most of these are 100% cotton but they are all at least 80% cotton. Why? Because I don’t want to wear plastic on my body, especially in the hot sun.

Like most parents, I’m extra cautious with my babies. I try to keep them safe, comfortable, and healthy. Each of these things have helped me to do that in some form.

My family loves food, sweets, and convenience. But we also value our health and well-being. The things I share may not be super healthy or completely clean, but they will for sure be “better” options. We’re not perfect with our diet, but I do my best to limit sugars, dyes, and ingredients that are linked to cancer and chronic health issues, especially with what I give my kids.

These are books that we actually own and read over and over again in our house. Books that my young kids enjoy to listen to, look at, and that actually hold their attention. And ones you won’t be miserable reading! (I don’t think).

I LOVE to buy my kids toys. But I want to buy them toys that they will actually play with over and over again. Toys that are not overstimulating for them or for me. Toys that fit in my budget too.

When your kids are sick, why would you want to give them things that lead to more sickness and make them feel worse? Like artificial dyes, ingredients, fillers, preservatives, and even sugar. Here’s some of my tried and true BETTER options for when my kids are sick.

I usually have my kids with me so these will most likely all be family friendly or kid friendly recs around Collin County!

Arts and crafts are a lot less stressful with kids if you know the mess can be easily cleaned up, and they won’t be harmed if they eat the mediums. Water based and non toxic is the rule in my house!

In our house we’ve gotten rid of most of our plastic. Almost everything we drink out of is stainless steel or glass. This helps limit exposure to microplastics, BPAs, phthalates, and endocrine- disrupting chemicals. They are also much easier to clean, better for the environment, and last way longer. These are some of my favorite items that my whole family uses and that ate actually affordable.

I try to find shoes that will be comfortable for my kids, will bend, aren’t too narrow, and are not too expensive. Most of their shoes are actually second hand, but here are a few good ones we’ve purchased.

We wear 100% cotton undies in my house. We don’t want plastic sitting on our most delicate area all day long.

I have now used these diapers for four years with both my daughter and my son. I love that they are low toxic, not bleached, have no fragrances or harmful chemicals, are so soft, and we’ve rarely had blowouts.

I’m pretty simple and don’t like to put a lot of harmful chemicals on my body (minus my deodorant because I don’t play about body odor). What I share will be things that I actually use frequently and that I think are worth using.
