This is a list of my favorite books that we’ve gotten for my son within the last five years!
A staple for Halloween. My son and I both really enjoyed this. Add points for if you actually sing it to the toon of the Wheels on the Bus
The Spooky Wheels on the Bus: Holiday Book
An interactive book that your kiddo will love for years. It’s rather comical too.
Don't Push the Button! Interactive Book
This series has a book for pretty much every event/holiday and we have them all. Sweet books that model friendship.
Little Blue Truck
A short little rhyming book with animal recognition.
Is Your Mama a Llama? by Guarino & Kellogg
This book only includes 3 words— Hug, Mama, and Bobo. The lack of words forced you to be extremely animated while reading this book which I think is why my son loved it so much. We read it every single night for months.
Hug - Books
This book is sooo cute. Teaches children to be free, unapologetic, and independent!
Cinderella-with Dogs! by Bailey, Hartas
Gives kiddos an idea of how to use imagination
How to Catch a Dinosaur by Adam Wallace
Teaches kiddos that sometimes you just have to sit with your feelings instead of someone fixing it for you
Grumpy Monkey - Books
A classic! This is one that I also read as a child so it’s good and nostalgic for me
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Numeroff
Another good book about emotions and emotional regulation.
The Rabbit Listened: Doerrfeld, Cori ...
Another good interactive books for littles. This book helped teach my son how to count. He also liked this lay with this one in bed and poke
Melissa & Doug Poke-a-Dot: Old MacDonald's Farm
This one always makes me emotional to read.
The Wonderful Things You Will Be
My son LOVED this book, especially at around age 2. If you have a little boy who wants to be like dad, this is the one for you.
Just Like Dad (Little Golden Book): Mayer, Mercer
Don’t judge the recommendation lol. My kiddo was scared to poop on the potty and I swear this book helped fix that. If you’re having potty training issues, it’s worth a shot!
