Highly recommend investing in fabric resistance bands like this instead of rubber. The rubber ones break and snap over time, and they’ll lose their effectiveness. Fabric bands will stay on your legs and not stretch out.

Trust me when I say that 3-5 lbs dumbbell wise is ENOUGH when incorporating into your reformer routine! I use two and while doing a leg routine on the bar, I also incorporate chest presses. Great for multitasking!

If starting out in mat Pilates, it’s worth splurging on a high quality yoga mat! These mats from Popflex are very cushiony and also looks soooo cute! They’re a fantastic quality and last wayyyyy longer than cheaper versions.

A must have for Pilates. You might think bare feet would help but think again. When I have these on my feet, I feel rock solid and SAFE, especially when I’m doing standing exercises. Plus, way more hygienic if you’re working out in a studio!
