Desk Stuff
A desk hutch can add so much more storage and make the room more comfortable! I have extra space here for picture frames to feel more at home.
Desk Hutch
Such a great asset for your desk! This is for my makeup girlies. The dorm lighting is not great so this is awesome.
Large Vanity Mirror
My biggest regret for my dorm room is not having this chair! The desk chair provided is often small and uncomfortable. I also find myself sitting in it a lot.
PUKAMI Criss Cross Chair with Wheels, Armless
I swear there’s actually 4 plugs in my room and they’re in the worst places! A must have purchase.
Surge Protector Power Strip - 8 Outlets & 4 USB
I bought so many of these on sale for so cheap! They helped me so much
Plastic Drawer Organizers - Target
Bed Stuff
A good step stool for a raised dorm bed is a must! A great investment, and more affordable than a nice ottoman. I got an ottoman from amazon and it caved in within the first 2 months.
Bed Step Stool
Get full size bed sheets even if it’s a twin xl bed! You will want the extra fabric.
Bring that squishmallow or childhood stuffed animal! Whatever is going to help you feel at home.
Squishmallows
I highly recommend purchase one of these plastic 3 drawer dressers. They are perfect for under the bed storage, and I would not have been able to fit all my clothes without one! Especially because I needed different clothes depending on the season.

Closet Stuff
You need some type of hanging shoe organizer. I personally have hanging cubbies in my closet, but I know a lot of people with the ones hanging on the door. Find the smallest option that still fulfills the job!
Amazon.com: Hanging Shoe Organizers
Personally I divide my loads of laundry into lights and darks so having a split hamper lets me sort my clothes as I wear them! I have removable bags I carry my laundry in and just wash the bag as well.
Divided Laundry Hamper
You can fit way more clothes using these skinny hangers! Also don’t forget folding some clothes is a good idea as well because your closet will be a lot smaller.
Thin Hangers
You need some kind of over the door hooks! I use them for purses, towels, and other bags.
Amazon Best Sellers: Best Over Door Hooks
Highly recommend purchasing one of these hanging rods incase you arrive and your closet is smaller than expected! You can always return it if you don’t end up needing. Better safe than sorry!
Closet Hanging Extension
Night Stand
This is one of my best purchases! You can store so much, and it serves as the perfect night stand for the typical lofted dorm bed!
ALEX drawer unit with 9 drawers, white, 141/8x455/8
I loved having this on my night stand to blow on me as I sleep!
Woozoo 5-Speed Globe Fan
I also had a jewelry dish on my night stand so once I climbed into bed, if I ever forgot to remove uncomfortable jewelry, I was able to put it in a designated spot!
Trinket Dishes For Jewelry
I just had the 3mg ones and these are perfect to have in your night stand when your roommate is up or you can’t sleep!
Sleep Blackberry Zen
I also loved how calming and relaxing this pillow spray made me when I was struggling to fall asleep without taking any medication!
Dr Teal's Sleep Spray w/ Melatonin & Oils
Shower Stuff
Waffle textured towels are so amazing! I bought a bath and hand towel from TJMaxx and they are so quick drying perfect for a stuffy dorm room.
Waffle Towels | Lightweight & Textured
I adored my plastic amazon caddy! I know there are mixed opinions, but I never had an issue with mold or anything.
Plastic Shower Caddy
Make sure there are holes on the bottom!
Shower Shoes
I put my shower caddy on one of these dish drying mats! Literally works awesome.
Best Dish Drying Mats
I was able to unscrew the very old shower head and screw my own new one on with ease. I did not want to risk hair loss. I got a $20 amazon filtered shower head and it was amazing!
