Toddler years
One of my toddler's favorite series. He finds the characters amusing but the lessons they teach are for every day life.
Grumpy Monkey
I may be impartial but this is a great book to explore the wonders of Fall. My little always wants to read it back to back!
Josiah's First Day of Fall: Mama Panda & Me
Do you remember the Scholastic Book Fair as a kid? The Berenstain Bears was always in my cart and there's something special about sharing it with my little.
The Berenstain Bears' New Baby
A great way to introduce him to Bible stories. Each is put in toddler terms and about a paragraph long. Beautiful artwork that has really pulled him into the stories.
Baby's First Bible Stories
Raising a toddler who loves reading almost as much as a sensory experience is a blessing. These books make it possible because they survive everything and can even be tossed in the washing machine after a doctor's visit.
Baby, See the Colors!
Raising a toddler who loves reading almost as much as a sensory experience is a blessing. These books make it possible because they survive everything and can even be tossed in the washing machine after a doctor's visit.

Raising a toddler who loves reading almost as much as a sensory experience is a blessing. These books make it possible because they survive everything and can even be tossed in the washing machine after a doctor's visit.
Big and Little: A Book of Opposites
Cute characters experiencing relatable moments have helped my little start to understand his feelings. He's now expressing tired, sad, and mad. It doesn't stop the meltdowns but it helps him communicate and handle the big feelings better.
A Day Full of Feelings
Such a cute story that helped my little become a lover of naps and bedtime.
Josiah and the Land of Never-Sleep
Found this at the local library and he loved it so much I had to get it. He has started understanding the concept of sharing after the funny back and forth over a banana.
Grumpy Monkey Mine!
Cute remix of classic nursery rhymes that helped teach lessons like counting, weather, and shapes while becoming part of our bedtime routine.
Dinosaur, Dinosaur, Say Good Night
A throw back for you, a new adventure for them. Letters take on their own mischievous adventure!
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
One of his favorite books in a new version which has helped him understand a very big transition. All while helping to introduce beginner reading skills.
Chicka Chicka I'm a Big Brother
Raising a toddler who loves reading almost as much as a sensory experience is a blessing. These books make it possible because they survive everything and can even be tossed in the washing machine after a doctor's visit.
Baby, Find the Shapes!
The obsession with Elmo is real and this book has helped him get closer to being out of diapers before 3.
P is for Potty!
If your little loves Paw Patrol as much as mine then this is the potty book to get. He gets excited when he uses the bathroom because he is in the "pa patrool"!
Potty Patrol (PAW Patrol)
A cute and somewhat corny dinosaur pun book to tell your toddler how much you love them. We find it funny every time!
I Love You More, Babysaur
I may love this one more than he does. It feel like someone wrote it after talking to my heart and I find myself adding it to bedtime on those days where I can't ignore how he is growing up.
Stay This Way Forever
Another book we have in our bedtime rotation for when I just need to hold onto his current version a little longer because he's growing up too fast.
I Love You to the Moon and Back
A classic that let's me feel a little old while also sharing the special moment of seeing the same joy I had discovering this story.
Charlotte's Web
This has been a great book to work on reading but also teach the concept of looking for things we can't find.
Where's Spot?
Motherhood is funny... you start to remember the stories but seeing your baby discover them for the first time makes those moments a little softer as you realize the love your parents had for you.
Where the Wild Things Are
This one always takes us a while to get through because we connect through all the sounds and movement.
Dinosaur Dance!
After reading this several times my toddler has started asking to hug anyone who seems sad.
The Rabbit Listened
This one was readable library story time and then checked out and yet we still needed to buy it so he could read it again. Great lesson of day and night that he now seems to understand and share.
The Sun Thief
From the food loving household to yours, this has been a hit since he thought it was a real taco. A fun story that starts with the shape of the book.
Dragon's First Taco
Trying to teach your toddler to pause for the important things? This book was a huge help for us. I paired it with a read along version on YouTube.
Grumpy Monkey Play All Day
This was another book that went from library reading, to checkout, to a permanent copy. He even adopted the deep breathing on his own when he gets upset!
Counting to Calm: My First Self-Regulation Book
Part of a series but this was his favorite one. Great for tying nursery rhyme songs into readable stories.
Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed
Ok so this one is very special to my heart... this was the "baby gift" to my oldest and he loves it. He has taken a tons from the book and applied them to taking care of his sister at only 2 years old.
How To Be A Big Brother
This one made me chuckle, but it was a good one for my little. He now understands a little bit better about waiting one minute, even though impulse control is still not quite there for him.
Grumpy Monkey Mom for a Day
Working on regulating is the ongoing game of a toddler mom but books like these help give him the tools for us to recall in the tough moments.
Little Monkey Calms Down
They read this at library and he couldn't stop laughing about Moose and his friends. Yup... it has landed on our shelf to learn about seasons, traveling, and friendship.
Little Blue Truck Board Book
Audio books for when you just can't read another board book. Best part is if the character gets lost the stories still play!
Little Tikes Story Dream Machine & Paw Patrol
