Books I've loved through the years—favorites that stuck with me long after I turned the last page.
I read this book when I was in high school and totally related to everything. Also didn't help that I wanted my own Marcus Flutie in my life.
Sloppy Firsts: A Jessica Darling Novel by Megan McCafferty, Paperback
Cameron is easily one of my favorite authors. His storytelling pulls you in from the very first page, and his unexpected twists and turns keep you hooked until the very end.
Insanity by Cameron Jace
Ednah also does an incredible job introducing the supporting cast, making us care about Cora and Eirik (even though I was a bit skeptical of them at first). It’s absolutely worth the read—just be prepared to get pulled in and not want to leave. (RIP ...
Runes: A runes Novel (Runes series Book 1)
Another high school love! This book was funny and entertaining that it took me into the rest of the series! To this day, I still quote this book - once you read it, you will too!
Angus, Thongs & Full-Frontal Snogging
The book to get you hooked! Cameron Jace's first series that started with prequels. If you don't want to put a book down, Cameron's books are the way to go!
Snow White Sorrow (Grimm Diaries #1) by Jace
I've read a lot of books… This book is the only one that has made me cry. This story has a lot of adult situations in it and probably isn't a story a high schooler should read, but I read it then and it has stuck with me since.
Tully by Paullina Simons
If you want to spend your entire laughing while you're reading a book then this is the one for you! I thought this recommended book was a joke, then I read it and absolutely FELL IN LOVE.

Such a fun read! They read like instant messages which makes it very amusing and easy to follow.
YOLO Juliet (OMG Shakespeare)
Such a unique way to tell a story about despair. This book is written in poetic form and is about the author's daughter.
Crank (The Crank Trilogy) by Ellen Hopkins
This is book 1 of 3. This girl says the faerie king and then gets sucked into this enchanted world where she has to make a choice between her world and theirs.
Tithe: A Modern Faerie Tale
Fascinating storyline. This book is about revenants (ghosts) and how their reborn life cycles throughout time then one revenant meets a girl he falls in love with and his whole being changes.
Die for Me by Amy Plum
I read this book in my early teenhood and remember the sadness I felt for this boy (now man). No child should have to go through this.
A Child Called It: One Child's Courage
Loved this book and I loved the movie (saw it on Easter day when it was released). It's a book about a little boy who is brought to heaven during a medical emergency and comes back to tell everyone about it's wonders.
Heaven is for Real
I quote this book all the time. It's a great visual on how communism comes in with new ideas and in the end it's all the same. As I read it, I thought about Russia's past.
Animal Farm by George Orwell
Fascinating book about how you'll have nothing and enjoy it. It's a book many people refer to when they see more control coming down from the top.

[To Kill a Mockingbird by: Harper Lee
I just remember how sad I was reading this book. It's recommended because it's a classic!
Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls
I was never into this book when I read it in school, because I didn't get it. But when I was older and read this book, it became one of my favorites.
The Giver by Lois Lowry
Classic school book about a girl whose family hid from the Nazis in Germany. These pages are considered her diary.
Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl
A book so good I have two copies! I'm really not sure why this was banned from schools, but I enjoyed the read and jumped the chapters from what was required to read for the week.
The Catcher in the Rye
I remember sitting in English class in Middle School and being lost with this story, but as I got older I understood it. And the scene between Lennie and George has stuck with me for a long time.
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
Growing up I thought Charlotte was the pig! Charlotte the SPIDER builds a beautiful relationship with the pig Wilbur.
Charlotte's Webb
Recommended Books
A cozy mix of everyday reads—faith, food, and favorite stories. This is my shelf of comfort and inspiration.
This book is the size of my hand and has a verse everyday with an explanation of the verse and a prayer. I'm going to use this with my little one to start getting her familiar with the word.

Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman
Where are all my Conspiracy Spoilers at?! This book is fascinating and runs you through mud-floods, fire and earthquakes that destroyed a great deal of the Tartaria empire. Then swings into the reality of the real Cabbage Patch kids.
